Cobbs focused on getting knee and head right(ARTICLE WRITTEN BY MIKE BERADINO) Patrick Cobbs can still see the play in his mind.
It came off one of many Wildcat snaps the Dolphins used in their first win over the Jets last season. On this one play, however, a hard tackle by Jets linebacker Bryan Thomas cost the Dolphins dearly.
Trailing 24-20 midway through the fourth quarter, they lost Cobbs, one of their most versatile contributors, for the rest of the season.
"It was an end around," Cobbs says of that handoff from Ronnie Brown. "I got the ball. The play was kind of dead. I tried to plant to stay read more...

Position Battles to Watch (7/30)
As late July rolls around each year, NFL fans across the country become filled with excitement and optimism as a new season approaches. That’s definitely the case in South Florida as the Dolphins open up the 2010 version of training camp on Friday, July 31st. And while many are focused on Brandon Marshall’s impact on the offense, Chad Henne’s development as a quarterback, and the health of Ronnie Brown & Ricky Williams, the defense is where the big training camp storylines exist. Below are my 3 position battles to pay close attention to… not only will they be fun to read more...

Fantasy Outlook
Here’s an overview of the Dolphins Key Fantasy Players and where you might want to take them in your upcoming fantasy draft:
The Early Round Stud: Brandon Marshall (late 2nd round/Early 3rd round)
Pros: Marshall has consistently been an ultra-productive receiver; he comes to Miami after posting 3 consecutive 100 catch, 1,000 yard seasons in Denver. He racked up 1,120 yards and 10 TDs last season playing with Kyle Orton at QB and while feuding with his coach. Marshall is the prime of his career, at age 26, as he has learned plenty of ways to read more...

Where is the Veteran Leadership (7/31)Everyday I take phone calls, emails (bigo@wqam.com) & Facebook questions (bigoshow) about how Koa Misi, Jared Odrick, Vontae Davis, Sean Smith, Cam Wake and every other young guy needs to step up! Isn't that the obvious? The real challenge falls on the Trifecta of Parcells, Ireland & Sparano.
If I had to point to a legitimate concern, I would say veteran leadership and experience at certain positions could have a negative effect on this team if the coaches don't pick-up the slack. For example, at linebacker Dolfans are expecting a lot from Cameron Wake and Koa Misi. My question is where read more...

State of the Fins
I thought the offense would have played better in the pre-season. But I do think, once the regular season starts, they will play better. You have guys like Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams, Brandon Marshall, Brian Hartline and Devine Bess who have all been through it before and all had success. Once it counts, Sunday September 13th against Buffalo, I think they will play well.
I am not as concerned about the interior of the line. They have played together for a while. Whether it’s Jake Grove or Joe Berger, they will be fine. Here is what’s read more...
